Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach. This is a full time, 10-month reporting position with benefits. Under the general direction of the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-III Women’s Lacrosse program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. The Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach will work in conjunction with the head coach to fulfill the following responsibilities:coaching student athletes, scouting opponents, recruiting and the planning and execution of team practices, workouts, meetings and activities. Although the head coach will be primarily responsible for the organization, maintenance and implementation of the offensive and defensive game plan and installation, this assistant position will work to complement this process. Additional responsibilities will be assigned in game management, facility overview, teaching, and / or administration.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide assistance to the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach.
  • Recruit academically and athletically strong applicants for admission in the selective, highly competitive application pool at Kenyon College utilizing Teamworks, including preparing promotional materials.
  • Plan and execute practice, including work with the offense, defense, draw controls and goalkeepers.
  • Manage film - practice, games, and break down for scouting materials.
  • Inventory of gear and equipment.
  • Maintain social media account.
  • Planning away game travel.
  • Create team-building exercises to aid in engaging student-athletes.
  • Any other duties assigned by the head coach.
  • Work in conjunction with athletic trainers to maintain student-athlete welfare.
  • Stay up-to-date with sport and coaching best practices in order to provide opportunities for all involved in the program to become students of the game by sharing knowledge of the sport.
