Job Description:
Position Summary:
The position is designed to provide future head coaches with a rich blend of coaching and administrative experience at a competitive NCAA, Division III private college. This is a 10-month, administrative, full-time position.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Assist the head coach in managing all facets of a Division III women's lacrosse program.
Assist the head coach in current recruiting efforts including but not limited to traveling to evaluate.
prospective student-athletes, collecting, inputting, and managing recruit data, and maintaining contact with prospective students.
Monitor and manage team member's academics.
Assist the head coach in planning and executing practice and training sessions.
Manage responsibility of the team's offense or goalie staff.
Prepare and implement strength and conditioning sessions.
Promote and manage social media accounts.
Develop scouting reports and assist the head coach in creating and sharing tactical game plans.
Conduct meetings and individual training sessions with team members.
Teach a lifetime skill class in the Physical Education department
Other Duties as Assigned by the Athletics Administration:
Game day administration
Facility supervision
Intramural supervision and planning
Assisting the Sports Information Director
Professional Expectations:
Understand and fulfill job duties within the scope of the mission statement.
Adhere to the policies and procedures of the College.
Maintains professionalism in actions, communication, and behavior in every aspect of the position.
Attends and completes any required training, certifications, or other professional development.
Requirements:
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to be a team player in the athletic department and a role model for student athletes.
Knowledge of Excel.
Required Experience & Education:
Bachelor's Degree.
Valid driver's license.
Four to five years playing and coaching experience at the intercollegiate level preferred.
One to two years recruiting experience at the intercollegiate level preferred.
Knowledge of Front Rush preferred.
Strength and conditioning knowledge preferred.
Additional Information:
Physical requirements:
Position requires mobility within the campus facilities and various sites including travel to game locations.
Ability to demonstrate skills, maneuvers, and techniques to players.
Ability to withstand adverse weather conditions for long periods of time.
Occasionally required to move or transport (lift) items weighing up to 25 pounds.
