The University of Southern Maine’s Athletic Department is seeking a temporary Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. The successful candidate will have experience in lacrosse and will assist in student-athlete development, recruiting, travel, and securing and maintaining necessary equipment and apparel. The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse with all aspects of the overall program operation. This includes assisting the head coach in developing, implementing, and administering training programs. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for assisting and/or supervising workout sessions, assisting the Head Coach in the talent identification and recruitment of potential USM student-athletes, attending all home contests and travel with the team to away contests, assisting with program fundraising initiatives, adhering to and supporting all rules, conditions, and regulations of The University of Southern Maine and the NCAA.
This is a part-time temporary position that will compensate up to $1,150 for the season and may vary depending on the selected candidate's availability and time commitment.
Fall practices are primarily in the mornings from 6:00AM – 8:00AM and spring practices are in the afternoons, typically 3:00PM – 5:00PM. Practice times are subject to change based on weather, field, and field house availability. In the Spring season we have 1 - 2 games per week with required travel. Our Spring season goes from mid-January to mid-May.
