Job Description

Washington College is currently recruiting for an Assistant Women’s Rowing Coach to support the Women’s Rowing program within the Athletics Department.

Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the organization, development, and leadership of a highly competitive NCAA Division III women’s rowing program in support of the mission and core values of Washington College.

The Washington College women’s rowing program competes in NCAA Division III and the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC).

Essential Functions:

  • Coaching: Demonstrates effective teaching methods and strong leadership on and off the water. Collaborates with the athletic trainer to help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all participants.
  • Recruitment: Assists in recruiting and retaining top prospective student-athletes who are fully engaged in the mission of Washington College. Collaborates with the head coach and the Office of Admissions to arrange on-campus visits for prospective student-athletes and their families. Ensures compliance with all recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Administration: Assists with aspects of the program designated by the head coach, adhering to NCAA, conference, and department compliance. Helps with recruiting coordination, budgeting, and scheduling, as well as invoices, travel planning, and equipment orders.
  • Student-Athlete Development: Assists in supporting the academic success of student-athletes by collaborating with college stakeholders. Mentors student-athletes.
