Virginia Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. Virginia Wesleyan is located in Virginia Beach, VA and sponsors 23 varsity sports teams, supporting over 400 student-athletes.
The qualified applicant will report to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach. The individual will assist with all aspects of the Women’s Soccer program including recruitment of quality student-athletes, scheduling, managing and coaching games, planning and conducting practices, organizing team travel, monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress, equipment maintenance, fundraising and other administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach or the Director of Athletics.Additionally, a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference and institutional rules and regulations is necessary.
VWU isunable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. Review of applications will begin immediately. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. Qualifications include: minimum of a bachelor’s degree with master’s degree preferred.Preference will be given to applicants with college coaching experience and/or experience as a college soccer student-athlete.
