Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Essential Job Functions

Coaching & Player Development:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and executing daily practices, focusing on skill development, team tactics, and physical conditioning.
  
• Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction to enhance player performance.
  
• Help with in-game coaching, strategy adjustments, and substitutions.
  
• Foster a positive and competitive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and a strong work ethic.

Recruiting:

• Identify and evaluate prospective student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of AIC.
  
• Assist with communication and correspondence with recruits, their families, and high school/club coaches.
  
• Attend recruiting events, tournaments, and showcases as assigned.

• Attend recruiting events, tournaments, and showcases as assigned.

Administrative & Program Support:

• Assist with travel logistics, including transportation, meals, and lodging for away games.
  
• Support the Head Coach with team operations, including equipment inventory, uniform distribution, and scheduling.
  
• Assist with video analysis of games and practices using platforms like Hudl or other relevant software.
  
• Help ensure the program's compliance with NCAA, Northeast-10 Conference, and institutional rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Previous coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of women's soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, faculty, staff, and the public.
  
• Proficiency with technology and video analysis tools.
  
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
