Key Qualifications

- Clear knowledge of soccer; modern coaching methodologies, playing techniques, tactics and strategies, to include but not limited goalkeeping unit specific responsibilities.
- Excellent office and administrative skills, task orientation, and timeline adherence.
- Experience and understanding of recruitment and development of top athletes; international recruiting contacts a plus.
- Team scouting, video and match analysis experience highly preferred.
- Camp/Academy Direction and Coaching experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
- Ability to support the equity and diversity commitments of the department.
- Ability to cooperate professionally and collegially with the media, the community, the university and the Athletic department staff and administration.

Education and Experience
|
- Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education which is accredited by one of the six US regional accrediting associations or a recognized equivalent international degree of higher education. Preferably in coaching, physical education, exercise science, psychology, teaching, pedagogy, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience coaching and/or playing at the college level, preferably at the Division I or II level, or coaching and/or playing semi-professional or professional soccer. International experience a plus.
- Experience and understanding of elite level sport and recruitment of top student-athletes; facilitation and organization of a recruiting database, recruiting calendar, strategy and coordination; domestic and international recruiting understanding and contacts a plus.
