Summary of Job Duties: The Assistant Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Coach will assist the Head Women’s Track and Field Coach with all aspects of the women’s track and field program to include: coaching during competitions and practices, recruitment of student-athletes, academics, NCAA compliance, strength and conditioning and administrative responsibilities with gear.

Will coach in the following areas: Distances / XC (Mile, 1500m, 3K, 3K Steeple, 5K, 10K, ½ DMR)

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning

• Experience with a track and field program

• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least three years of experience coaching at the collegiate or professional level

• Proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with athletes

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

• Organized individual with strong administrative, interpersonal, and computer skills

• Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and effectively interact with high energy, intense personalities

• Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include nights, weekends, holidays and overnight travel
