This position is responsible for assisting the head coach in the management and administration of all phases of the women’s volleyball program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics and the University, including but not limited to coaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fundraising, and community relations. This position is required to adhere to all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the
NCAA
and Big South Conference.
Exempt
This position requires possession of post baccalaureate credentials. May also consider a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent independent experience. A successful candidate will have experience as a coach, student-athlete, and/or professional.
A successful candidate will have two to four years of volleyball experience as a coach at either the collegiate or professional level. Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills. Also knowledge and adherence to compliance with University, Big South Conference and
NCAA
Division I rules and regulations is a plus.
Ability to effectively coach and mentor students.
Knowledge of successful recruitment cycles and best practices in a college or university setting.
Knowledge of
NCAA
Division I rules and regulations.
Knowledge of the rules and regulations for playing and administration of sport of volleyball.
