Job Description

Primary duties include working closely with the Head Coach to develop and coach an NAIA athletic team and assist with all phases of directing and managing a successful program. Actively work as the programs recruiting coordinator, recruiting and assessing prospective student athletes for the program in an organized manner. Maintain knowledge of coaching strategies by Aiding in designing and providing instruction on individual and team skills to both junior varsity and varsity programs. Participates and plans fundraising projects and other team activities. The women’s volleyball program is committed to building a diverse and inclusive faith-based community. Assist with Women’s Varsity and JV Volleyball programs.
• Travel Logistics
• Program Scheduling
• Practice Planning
• Academic Monitoring Attend & Assist with Women’s Varsity and JV practice implementation and execution.

Recruiting Coordinator
• Organize recruiting submissions and communicate effectively with head coach and recruits o Weekly update Microsoft Teams Sheets
• Recruit a minimum roster size of 15-20 women’s junior varsity players
• Assist in recruiting a roster of 15-20 women’s varsity players o Utilize University Athlete, Hudl, Field Level, NCSA, Be Recruited, International Recruiting Services, etc.
o Travel to in-state/out-of-state tournaments, practices, clinics to recruit o Host recruiting events on campus (i.e. Prospect Weekend)

Campus Visit Coordinator
• Work in contact with CU athletic admissions staff to ensure campus tour, finical aid visit, admissions conversation, etc.

• Arrange a team practice and/or Gosser Gymnasium tour

Video Coordinator
• Exchange NAIA Conference Film
• Break down match film using Volley Metrics
• Schedule recordings though Volley Metrics for matches and practices

Other Responsibilities
• Assistant Strength, Conditioning & Nutrition Coordinator
• Tournament Director – CU hosted middle school, high school, and collegiate matches
• Assist with community service endeavors
• Team faith development and bonding activities
• Attend any/all mandatory athletic and university sponsored events
• Assist with fundraising efforts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and previous volleyball coaching/collegiate playing experience.
• Cultural competence and effective communication skills are required.
• Successful candidate will be self-motivated and possess the ability to recruit, teach and coach highly talented student-athletes who can succeed in challenging environments on and off the court.
• Aligned views with the Campbellsville University mission statement as well as the athletic mission statement.
• Experience with using video breakdown, analysis, and analytics to improve team performance.
• Valid driver license and comfortability with transporting team when necessary.
