Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach

POSITION SUMMARY:

Serve as the Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach during all volleyball seasons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the conduct, discipline, and positive character of student–athletes by the guidelines and principles of MACU and the NAIA Champions of Character initiative.
• Assist the head coach in practices and home/away matches.
• Help with recruiting prospective student-athletes.
• Supervise weight training sessions.
• Assist with opponent scouting reports.
• Complete monthly expense report and help with other budgeting responsibilities.
• Drive a van to all away matches and other team activities.
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is preferred. Previous playing experience or previous coaching experience is required; will receive a $10,000 annual stipend.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for extended periods during practices, and matches, often in a high energy environment. The role requires frequent movement including walking, jogging, demonstrating drills, bending and occasional lifting of equipment (up to 20-40 pounds). Must be able to travel and drive a 12 passenger van and work weekends and evenings. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
