Northern State University is accepting applications for the Men’s Wrestling Assistant Coach position.  The assistant coach is a vital position within the wrestling program.  The assistant coach will be evaluated based on the competitiveness of the program, the dedication to the mission, vision, and values of the program, overall student-athlete development in sport, school, and life, and for establishing a culture in which the coach is viewed by the student athletes as a mentor, educator, and role model.

Overall, the assistant coach is an integral part of the coaching staff and will contribute significantly to the success of the wrestling program.  The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, a deep knowledge of wrestling strategies, analytics, decision making, a commitment to compliance with all NCAA, NSIC and university rules and regulations as well as dedication to academic development of student-athletes.
