Reporting to the Exec Assoc AD/SWA, with oversight from and collaboration with the Chief Medical Director, the Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Medicine will assist in leading a successful NCAA Division I athletic program in managing the health and welfare of all intercollegiate student-athletes at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Medicine will be assigned to cover at least one Olympic Sport as the primary ATC. The Associate Athletic Director will be committed to excellence, integrity and advancing the athletic department’s mission and strategic vision. It is paramount the Associate Athletic Director operate the athletic medicine program in a manner that is representative of the university. Excellence in quality health care shall be attained through communication and collaboration with NAPL, Strength & Conditioning, Performance Nutrition, and Sports Psychology and sport coaches. Must have ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision. Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field and 7 years of athletic training experience in a college or university setting. Currently practicing, or last employment as practicing ATC within 2 years. Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension). NATA-BOC certification; CPR/First Aid certified; Eligibility for licensure in the state of Nebraska.
Previous supervisory experience preferred. Experience working as an ATC at a D1 institution preferred.
