The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. Provide strategic leadership and direction across Georgia Tech (GT) Athletics, with particular oversight of facilities, grounds, and event operations. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.
This position will interact on a regular basis with: Athletics staff, campus partners, and external partners

Job Duty 1 -
Provide oversight and leadership for assigned areas of responsibility, which include facilities management, capital projects, grounds, and landscape services, event operations, and space management
Job Duty 2 -
Work closely with GT Athletics leadership to plan and execute GT Athletics facility development, including space planning, facility master planning, renovations and capital projects
Job Duty 3 -
Lead in the development execution of policies and procedures relative to GT Athletics facilities with an emphasis on operational efficiency and quality
Job Duty 4 -
Lead and manage the facilities, events and operations staff that includes fulltime exempt staff members, fulltime nonexempt staff, part-time hourly staff and student workers responsible for building schedules, closures, hours of operation, and other communications relevant to facility use and updates online platforms with relevant schedule changes and updates.
Job Duty 5 -
Direct maintenance and repairs for all GT Athletics facilities, including building structures, finishes, fixtures, and equipment
Job Duty 6 -
Implement an organizational structure for GT Athletics Facilities, Operations, and Events that best serves student-athletes, staff, and guests
Job Duty 7 -
Represent GT Athletics with efforts and initiatives involving operational business partners, and with intercollegiate athletics organizations such as the NCAA and ACC
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other related duties as assigned

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Eight to ten years job related experience, including facility management, capital project management, event operations management, and supervisory experience.

ABILITIES
The successful candidate must have the ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
SKILLS
This job requires advanced knowledge of college athletics administration and athletics special events; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and tasks; proven ability to identify and resolve problems; excellent organizational skills and ability to plan and control projects through to completion.
