The Associate Athletic Director for Business, Strategy and Analytics is a senior administrative position within Athletics and Recreation that provides thought leadership to develop strategic administrative initiatives that meet the mission of the Department. Oversees the effective, compliant, & efficient daily management of all operational, financial, & business functions in support of the business area’s mission & in coordination with central offices such as Budget, Procurement, Mission and Ministry and Information Technology. Represents Athletics and Recreation on internal & external business affairs & is viewed as an expert resource regarding business area administrative affairs.
· Plans & manages complex budget(s) to fund strategic mission including financial sustainability & enhancement models.· Serves as the lead on the annual EADA report and NCAA Agreed Upon Procedures report· Leads our annual department financial audit with both internal and external groups.· Serves as primary contact with La Salle Controller, Budget Office, and Purchasing Department.· Conduct data-driven analyses and recommendations to move the business forward through collaboration with marketing, ticketing, corporate partnerships, community relations, and communications teams.· Plans & implements annual budget including fiscal resource allocation of appropriated, discretionary, endowment and/or gift revenues.· Delegates payroll, purchasing, travel & entertainment (T&E) transactions & serves as Financials approver.· Oversees routine budget reconciliation & analyzes budget position.· Approves funds reallocation within budget as necessary & appropriate.· Responsible to stop an expense that is inappropriate or against deficit chart string.· Identify and implement opportunities for process automation across reporting and analytics.· Evaluates and prepares plans to maximize opportunities and minimize threats.· Reviews and proposes strategic alliances, joint ventures and key collaborations with internal and external organizations.· Administers assigned athletic sport programs including supervision and evaluation of head coaches, monitoring budgets, developing competition activities, approving team travel and expenses, overseeing student-athlete academic progress and well-being, educating coaches on NCAA and conference rules.·Researches, develops, recommends and executes creative strategies to foster the department’s diversity goals.· Negotiates with vendors for purchases & leases.· Participates in developing IT strategy to meet the mission & needs of the organization.· Oversees development & implementation of processes & procedures for all safety, security & compliance programs & ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, local & La Salle laws, regulations, policies & procedures.· Coordinate insurance coverage for coaches’ camps, clinics and lessons. Work with Athletics Compliance, Recreation and Athletics Facilities and Operations Departments to modify and implement policies and procedures for coaches’ camps, clinics and lessons.· Oversees creation and administration of game contracts for contests.
· Serves on NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference, University and department committees as assigned.· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Bachelor’s degree.· 5 years’ administrative experience including budgets, finance, grants, facilities, &/or human resources; or other relevant experience.· Knowledge and experience in NCAA rules and compliance is required.· Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
·Master’s degree, preferably in business, finance, sport management, or a similar field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted for a Master’s degree.·Preferred candidates will possess excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population, experience in creating and implementing personal and professional development opportunities for coaches and student-athletes.· Experience working in senior-level office management role.· Experience in higher education, university advancement and financial planning and budget management.
·Travel and off-peak hours required (i.e., attend on-campus and off-campus athletic events, department events, donor functions)
