Job Description

Advises and counsels individuals who may include current students, prospective students, recent graduate students, and/or faculty and staff. Provides guidance in relation to careers and academic information. Acts as a liaison to various employee and student groups.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Coordinates admission registration and enrollment process for student athletes. (15%)

Counsels and assists student athletes in selecting major course of study, selecting courses, changing majors, drop-add, and developing effective study habits. (15%)

Maintains records on activities and other department records; prepares and presents oral and written reports on activities. Maintains regular and prompt attendance to any meetings and or events as directed. (15%)

Monitors eligibility compliance with NCAA, conference, and University policies; assists in preparing reports. (15%)

Monitors students' degree plans; evaluates grade transcripts and maintains academic records; monitors class attendance and student progress. (15%)

Provides counseling and referral resources in non-academic areas. Collaborates with appropriate University office on any concerns related to students. (10%)

Organizes and supervises study hall and tutorial support activities on campus and on the road. (5%)

Assists in recruiting student-athletes. (5%)

Performs other duties as assigned. (5%)
 

Qualifications

Master’s Degree and three (3) years of relevant experience. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
