The Associate Director, Intercollegiate Athletics, is a full-time 12-month position that reports to and assists the Director, Intercollegiate Athletics with the daily operations of the athletic department, including ensuring adherence to all College, Conference and NJCAA rules and regulations.
Essential Functions and Duties
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in the general oversight of a highly competitive NJCAA intercollegiate athletic department with duties that may include:
Representing the athletic program to the College’s internal and external constituencies.
Participating actively in development, marketing, public relations, and fundraising.
Assisting in home event game management.
Actively participating in all college activities which lead to the recruitment, retention and completion of students.
Creation and oversight of department and team budgets and facilitation of purchasing processes.
Involvement in completion of student-athlete paperwork including eligibility and scholarship paperwork.

Updating daily the athletic department web page, NJCAA national website, and appropriate social media sites.

Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management, Education Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
Required Experience
Three years of related experience
Preferred Education
Master’s Degree in Sport Management, Education Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
Additional Job Specific Requirements
Knowledge of the financial workings of a comprehensive athletic program and NJCAA rules and regulations.
Skills in employing and supervising a diverse staff, and in oral and written communication, marketing, public relations, and fund-raising.
Must be committed to affirmative action, gender equity, and the academic success of the student athlete.
Experience in athletic administration and/or coaching at the collegiate level.
