Position Summary
The Associate Director of Academic Support for Athletics serves as the primary academic contact for assigned teams. This is a meaningful relationship that extends from recruiting visit to graduation and beyond. The Associate Director will lead the continuing eligibility process and complete NCAA academic reports including APR and GSR.

The Associate Director of Academic Support for Athletics reports to the Director of Academic Support for Athletics. The office has a direct reporting line to the Associate Provost of Academic Affairs and a dotted line to the Director of Athletics. The position is housed in the division of Academic Affairs. The division of Academic Affairs encompasses all of Elon's extensive academic programs as well as the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, faculty affairs and academic operations. Elon’s academic programs include more than 70 undergraduate majors, nine graduate programs and a wide array of interdisciplinary programs and enriching intellectual and research opportunities. Minimum Required Education and Experience
Master's Degree Required; 5 years of related experience
Preferred Education and Experience
At least five years of direct experience working with student-athletes in an academic setting is required; Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, student-athlete eligibility, and related functions is preferred; The ability to compile data and prepare, write, and review reports is required; Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Excel, is required; Demonstration of leadership ability is required
