Summary of Position
Reporting to the Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director, Finance & Administration, the Associate Director of Athletics Administration will serve as the primary contact for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position is responsible for the administrative, operational, and financial support of the Athletics Department. The Associate Director of Athletics Administration will be responsible for knowing the rules that regulate NCAA Division I Athletics. The Associate Director of Athletics Administration will oversee the management of all personnel activities including, but not limited to hiring, on-boarding, position changes/upgrades, terminations/resignations, off-boarding, labor relations, University compensation guidelines, job descriptions, compliance, employment contracts, payroll, timekeeping, absence management, graduate externships, and student workers. The Associate Director of Athletics Administration will lead in the recruitment, hiring, and development of a diverse and inclusive Athletics Department committed to advancing the priorities of Temple’s NCAA Division I Athletics Program.

Summary of Position

The Associate Director of Athletics Administration is responsible for staying abreast of NCAA Division I trends, shifts, technologies, and best practices. Additionally, the Associate Director of Athletics Administration will look at all of Temple Athletics teams, sub-teams, and campus colleagues to develop integrated recruitment strategies and hiring plans that ensure effective collaboration. The Associate Director of Athletics Administration will perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Sports Management, Finance, or related field and at least four (4) or more years of experience in athletics administration and/or human resources management, recruitment and hiring, and diversity equity and inclusion. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Knowledge and understanding of recruitment best practices.

*Ability to understand and uphold the mission and goals of the athletic department.

*Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines.
*Experience working with diverse populations.
*Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
*Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
*Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
*Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
*Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference and University rules.
