GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

The Associate Director of Athletics for Operations should be a person who possesses skills in accounting, budgeting, business management, and athletics operations. The Associate Director must have knowledge of various accounting programs and a basic knowledge of NCAA rules compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Devoted to Christ and possessing skills commensurate with the job. A master’s degree in an applicable discipline and experience in administration of athletic programs is required.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer and manage budgets for all sports and work with coaches on the distribution and maintenance of such. Work with the Director of Athletics to set and maintain budgets for all sports. Handle accounts payable and invoices as well as incoming revenue for all sports. Manage and oversee the work of coaches and office staff as it relates to the purchase order, credit card, cash advance, departmental deposit, and other business operation processes as set forth by the university and department. Manage all DBU Athletics ticketing operations, including, but not limited to: DBU Athletics ticket website, ticket staffing for all home contests, ticket strategies for season tickets, single game tickets, and promotions. Lead all facets of the corporate partnership sales cycle including prospecting, securing appointments, proposal development, negotiation, and contract generation. Build, maintain, and grow DBU Athletics relationships with corporate partners. Provide direct oversight to Athletics student workers and approve student worker time in ADP. Coordinate all staffing and personnel for all DBU Athletics home games, in partnership with the Director of Athletics, Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance, and Associate Director of Athletics for Media Relations. Coordinate staffing and operations for all championships, events, meets, and tournaments hosted by DBU Athletics. Administer all responsibilities in accordance with all applicable NCAA rules and guidelines. Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

WORK SCHEDULE:

The Associate Director of Athletics for Operations will work 40 hours per week with variations to the normal working hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) with the need to work nights and weekends, as well as all home games and some away games.
