The Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine is responsible for working directly with the University’s Team Physician(s) to supervise the prevention, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries to Hofstra University Student-Athletes. This position will manage and supervise the daily collaboration with Northwell Health our medical team partner, the athletic training staff, athletic training students, the facilities, and report to the AVP and COO for Athletics. The Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine may receive direction from the Coordinators of the Athletic Training Education Program or the Chair of PESP related to classroom/clinical instruction, clinical supervision, and clinical evaluation of athletic training students.
Specific responsibilities of the position fall into several categories including direct medical care, supervisory/administrative tasks for the Hofstra Department of Athletics, liaison responsibilities with outside departments and agencies such as the NCAA/CAA, including the Athletic training education program and University Requirements.

Additional Information
Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
*Salary ranges indicated for positions covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement are in accordance with the CBA.
