Associate Director of Development
Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Full Time/3-year term
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and execute all cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation strategies for private support from donors and prospects for SEMO Athletics
Engage in personal solicitation of annual, planned, special, and major gifts for athletic department priorities
Identify, research, and write individualized proposals for solicitation and stewardship activities regarding gift donors for annual, capital, and endowment gifts for the athletics programs, in coordination with University Advancement staff
Coordinate the planning, outreach, and execution of special on and off campus alumni events and functions
Schedule and coordinate prospect and donor visits as needed and ensure adequate preparation of key constituents for each visit
Establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with members of the University Advancement staff
Collaborate with development, advancement services, and alumni personnel, coaches, and university administrators to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors
Maintain accurate and timely records regarding activities related to donor interaction
Serve as an ambassador to solicit support for the SEMO Athletics Department and University projects and priorities
Attend Redhawks Club Board and University Foundation Board meetings as an ex-officio member, as well as required and recommended functions and meetings, including but not limited to, athletics events, fundraising events, University receptions, and community events

Coordinate and manage stewardship efforts such as gift acknowledgments, thank you correspondence, recognition communications and special events for donors
Maintain a valid driver's license
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Familiarity with intercollegiate athletics
Demonstrated understanding of customer service, sales, and fundraising
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to establish, maintain, and manage relationships with key stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work under pressure
Demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
Ability to articulate and meet goals/objectives
Ability to think through complicated processes and have exceptional problem-solving skills
Ability to travel extensively with or without accommodations and work alternate work schedules, including evenings and weekends
Posses a valid driver’s license
Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
