About the Role
The Associate Director of Student-Athlete Services plays a key role in leading an integrated academic and athletic support program dedicated to enhancing the well-being and development of varsity student-athletes in academic, athletic, personal, and professional areas. This position is responsible for overseeing various student-athlete services, including ensuring compliance with the competitive framework of SFU Varsity Programs, managing eligibility, housing, financial aid, and providing sports medicine and strength and conditioning services.
In collaboration with the Manager of Physiotherapy and the Head Coach of Strength and Conditioning, the Associate Director helps deliver these services, advocates for students, evaluates performance, and participates in hiring decisions. As a vital member of the Athletics and Recreation senior management team, the Associate Director represents and promotes the university on national committees and at conferences related to varsity athletics.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree and four years of related experience including experience in the administration of athletic programs, compliance management and the interpretation and application of rules and regulations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Information
The assignment start and end date is July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
Duties & responsibilities may include travel for conferences and varsity games.
