We are seeking a dedicated Associate Head Men’s Basketball Coach to support all facets of a competitive, student-centered basketball program. This role is instrumental in recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes, supporting game preparation and opponent scouting, and helping manage daily team operations in alignment with the mission and values of Saint Michael’s College. The Associate Head Coach will help foster a safe, respectful team culture, maintain regular communication with student-athletes, and assist in implementing a comprehensive year-round training and development plan. Additional responsibilities include coordinating recruiting efforts with Admissions, supporting fundraising and community engagement initiatives, managing team-related expenses, and working collaboratively with athletics staff to ensure the continued success of the men’s basketball program on and off the court.

Attends staff meetings on a monthly basis
Sees the value of cultural, ethnic, gender, and other individual differences in people. Helps to create an environment of learning about, valuing, encouraging, and supporting differences
Makes public appearances on behalf of the College
Monitors academic achievement of team members by regular communication with professors
Maintains outstanding faculty, administration, alumni, and parent relations
Conducts fundraising activities to benefit the athletic program

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 3 years coaching at the high school or college level.
The ability to recognize several likely causes of events, analyze relationships among several parts of a problem or situation, and then formulate a multi-step response.
Reads and interprets a wide range of information. May interpret documents to others. Regularly writes reports and correspondence. Able to shift writing style as needed for different audiences. Regularly explains policies, listens to questions, responds, and problem solves. Speaks to individuals and small groups effectively.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products

Licenses and Certifications
Current CPR certification to be renewed annually
Basic First Aid certification to be renewed every three years
Must meet driver’s eligibility requirements as stated in the Saint Michael's College Vehicle Use Policy
