Wilkes University invites applicants for the position of Associate Head Coach for the University's Wrestling program. Reporting to the head coach and director, this individual will be responsible for recruiting and retaining student-athletes and administration of the program according to the guidelines of NCAA Division III, the Landmark Conference, and Wilkes University. The position's primary duties include but are not limited to academic monitoring, practice and game management, and scheduling. The associate head coach will also assist the athletic department administration with the day-to-day functions including site management duties for assigned intercollegiate athletic contests.
A bachelor's degree is required, master's degree preferred. The successful candidate will have basic skills in wrestling, one to three years of successful intercollegiate coaching experience; collegiate wrestling experience is also preferred. Candidates should have general knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, Landmark (or other appropriate) conference regulations/operations/guidelines; fitness, strength and conditioning techniques; coaching, recruiting and scouting strategies; possess basic computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in industry-appropriate software (Front Rush, Slate, HUDL).
