Position Description
The Associate Sports Dietitian is responsible for delivering evidence-based nutrition services for assigned teams and individual student-athletes. Working collaboratively with sports medicine staff, strength coaches, coaches and other support staff, the Associate Sports Dietitian supports health, wellness, and performance through education, medical nutrition therapy, food service and performance nutrition strategies.

Major/Essential Functions
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field, or Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN), with a minimum of two years of experience in sports nutrition or related field, or a combination of related education and/or experience may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis. Will be expected to obtain a Texas dietitian license (LD).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree. Two or more years of experience in sports nutrition or a related field.
Ability to work a flexible, non-standard schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift, push, or move up to 40 pounds.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
