Assist the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing with strategic marketing to increase ticket sales and enhance the game day experience.
Create and execute marketing plans for assigned sports, with an emphasis on raising attendance, enhancing the gameday experience, maximizing the fan experience, and sponsorship integration.
Establish effective on-campus marketing efforts aimed at increasing student attendance.
Execute distribution of marketing collateral and enhancing brand awareness in the community.
Recruit, schedule and supervise Athletics Marketing Student Workers.
Produce & direct live events and oversee the day-to-day operations and planning for event presentation including video board and PA announcer.
Create & execute game scripts designed to engage Tribe fans and fulfill sponsor obligations.
Assist in the management of community outreach programs and mascot activities including Griffin’s Kids Club with the objective of increasing group ticket sales and group participation at William & Mary athletics’ events.
Assist in the creation and management of social media strategy and execution.
Organize all donation requests submitted to William & Mary Athletics.
Build and manage relationships with on-campus student groups and organizations.
Must be able and willing to work nights and weekends.
Prolonged period of sitting and standing indoors and frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.

Faculty or Staff: 12 month
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Experience working within intercollegiate or professional athletics marketing department.
• Proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Masters degree in sports management, marketing or related field.
• Experience creating and executing athletics marketing plans.
• Experience in graphic design.
• Experience in working with athletics spirit groups (Cheer teams, mascots, pep bands, etc.).
Hybrid (works remotely at least 1 day per week but not full-time)
Remote work eligibility is not guaranteed and is subject to approval. Employee eligibility depends on the likelihood of the employee succeeding in a remote work arrangement and the supervisor’s ability to manage remote workers. Departments and/or Human Resources may amend, alter, change, delete, or modify eligibility.
