Assistant Director of Creative Design and Publications

 

The Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA), founded in 1891, is a nonprofit organization whose objective is to "promote, influence, and assist in financing the varsity athletic programs of the midshipmen of the United States Naval Academy" in accordance with the policy of the Superintendent of the Academy. Through an intercollegiate athletics program that is one of the largest in the country, every midshipman is afforded the opportunity to compete in athletics at the Division I level. The emphasis on physical fitness is borne out in the first line of the mission of the U.S. Naval Academy: To develop midshipmen morally, mentally and physically.

 

Summary

Multifaceted position working primarily in graphic design and desktop publishing for sports information department as well as working with all other departments/sports within the NAAA for any and all graphic/design/publishing needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality graphics for digital marketing, social media, web layouts and print collateral, maintaining visual identity guidelines for brand consistency;

  • Work with the Assistant AD/Brand, Creative Design and Publications and Director of Social Media to create templates for and create graphics for various needs (game day, awards/honors, etc.);

  • Design posters and schedule magnets in consultation with sport coaches, sports information contacts and marketing associates;
