Job Summary:
The Assistant Coach assists in developing a Division I competitive Women’s Soccer program. The primary function of the Assistant Coach will be to teach and instruct student-athletes on the technical skills of soccer. The Assistant Coach will assist in working on the fundamentals of the sport, teaching the sport during Monday-Friday scheduled practices and meetings, and preparing for competitions.
The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach supports the Head Coach by providing instruction leadership and integrity to the program set forth by the Head Coach which includes, but is not limited to creating, planning, organizing, motivating, and teaching, student-athletes. The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach is expected to conduct themselves in a manner representative of the University, the Department, and the sport both on and off the field of competition. The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach is expected to be knowledgeable about and comply with NCAA regulatory policy governing their sport as well as NCAA and conference policies governing recruiting, eligibility, ethical standards, playing seasons, and extra benefits. The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least two years of previous soccer experience as a collegiate coach and/or collegiate student-athlete. Experience administering Division I NCAA rules. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
