Description
Apply NowThe Athletic and Community Partnership Manager is a vital member of the Advancement Team. A conduit for the College to community businesses and leaders, as well as individuals passionate about SMWC and Pomeroy Athletics, they will engage with the community to build relationships and secure partnerships supporting College initiatives and Pomeroy Athletics. The Athletic and Community Partnership Manager will assist with the development and implementation of an athletic sponsorship and fundraising strategy and ensure game-day sponsor activities and athletic branding initiatives are executed appropriately.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide assistance, organization and management of a strategic, comprehensive, Athletics Development Plan with special emphasis on multi-year and annual sponsorships. All efforts will include elements of prospect research, donor stewardship and constituent relations utilizing a variety of channels to encourage prospective partners to support the College including but not limited to personal visits, direct mail, e-solicitations and special events.
2. Execute corporate sponsorship and major gift fundraising activities to achieve annual fundraising goals.
3. Provide leadership to special engagement events/initiatives, including but not limited to:
4. Support AVP of Athletics and Coaches with annual fundraising goals. Ensure initiatives are aligned with institutional fundraising priorities, policies and practices. Provide data and content as necessary, liaison with MarComm for creative service materials and marketing.
5. Coordinate with MarComm and Office of Athletics to fulfill contractual obligations to sponsors.
6. Be responsible for Onyx mascot appearance requests both on-campus and off-campus.
7. Identify opportunities for SMWC to grow its engagement with the local community and ensure these efforts generate a positive awareness of the College.
8. Participate as a College representative in community activities, initiatives and organizations that advance the mission of SMWC while helping to further develop the Wabash Valley.
9. Assist the Advancement and Alumni Teams with the planning and execution of special events such as, but not limited to, Reunion, Homecoming, regional alumni gatherings, and donor recognition events, in an effort to increase the College’s engagement with alumni, donors, sponsors, and prospective SMWC supporters.
10. Other duties may be assigned.
