| Position Summary |
The Esports Athletic Assistant is responsible for coaching the Esports teams during the Fall and Spring semesters as well as
various other tasks designated by the Director of Esports that include marketing, strategy, and promotion. The Esports
Athletic Assistant will seek out guidance and direction from the Director of Esports with major responsibilities. Athletic
Position is 12 months . Athletic Assistants will work a max of 1,000 hours per year. Athletic assistant’s tenure concludes upon earning a master’s degree
or the conclusion of the agreement (maximum 3-5 year position).

| Major Responsibilities |
Understands and adheres to the Utica University Esports program policies and procedures.
Maintain public accounts on multiple social media outlets, Discord, Twitch, and other associated gaming apps.
Execute esports and gaming center marketing and outreach to prospective students and parents.
Promote events and activities through various marketing strategies: digital screens, table tents, flyers, Stall Street
journal, a social media website, etc.
Assists Director of Esports by providing practice and game coverage of all intercollegiate esports events as assigned.
Assists in preparing and executing pre-participation screenings. Assists in keeping general inventory and supply
records.
Works harmoniously with coaches, staff, students, and constituents while adhering to the program philosophies.
Exhibits a strong work ethic while setting a positive example in action and appearance for students.
Takes an active role in the development of the department’s strategic and operational plans as required by department
leadership. Works closely with department supervisor to develop and implement operational goals that support
departmental success such as recruitment, training, and evaluation of students.
Travel as assigned.
May perform other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Skills/Abilities |
Must be willing and able to travel as required.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A strong commitment to diversity and work continually to enhance diversity of our students, faculty, and staff.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
