Apply NowSummary: The Athletics Compliance Administrator (ACA) support the day-to-day functions of the athletics compliance office with direction and oversight from the Head Compliance Officer. This position assists in monitoring all compliance processes, including data systems, reporting, roster management, and administration of all aspects of a comprehensive compliance program in alignment with University, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference(RMAC), and other affiliate membership policies and regulations. In addition, the ACA will serve as on-site administrator for home competitions for assigned sports. The ACA contributes to the overall success of the Department Athletics by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
Certify initial and continuing eligibility for prospective and current student-athletes in coordination with the Office of the Registrar and other institutional offices.
Provide proficient operation of compliance software for assigned sport teams.
Provide a comprehensive compliance program including rules education, student-athlete eligibility, and NCAA rules monitoring.
Establish strong communication skills with coaches on student-athlete progress and monitor student-athletes' eligibility and satisfactory progress towards degree.
Prepares reports including NCAA, graduation rate, and academic success, as well as squad lists and required NCAA forms.
Provide leadership in the area of student recruitment and ensures compliance with NCAA rules.
Investigate potential secondary rules violations, researching penalties levied in similar cases, and submits infraction reports to the NCAA and conference.
Conduct academic progress grade checks, identifying student-athletes with academic weaknesses and notifying head coach.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
• Earned Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university (master’s preferred) plus experience in coaching and/or administration at an NCAA institution or conference office or the NCAA.
• Must have thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations and NCAA policies/procedures.
• Familiarity with NCAA Compliance Assistance Software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Banner preferred. Event management experience.
