The Athletic Director is responsible for the development, management, coordination, and supervision of the athletics
program
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides visionary leadership, strategic planning, and policy development for the athletics program.
• Maintains an athletics program that is committed to the College’s mission and strategic priorities.
• Raise funds for the athletic department.
• Administers the overall athletic budget.
• Recruits and manages the coaching staff.
• Ensures compliance with all the College, national association, and conference policies, rules, and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
A successful candidate demonstrates commitment to academic excellence and the ability to work effectively with many
different constituencies. An advanced degree from an accredited university is preferred. The individual demonstrates
integrity, drive, vision, and comprehensive communication skills. Significant successful experience in the administration of
intercollegiate athletics or comparable managerial experience is preferred.
