Position Summary
The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications forAthletic Facilities Assistant (Part-Time).
Assist the Director of Athletics Facilities and Operations in day-to-day functions and oversee Screaming Eagles Complex (SEC) student staff.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with opening and closing of the SEC, including unlocking and locking doors.
Supervise, train and schedule student staff for the Screaming Eagles Complex and Screaming Eagles Arena.
Assist with the operation of the Screaming Eagles Complex service area to include issuing equipment for use in the recreational facilities.
Provide daily monitoring for all areas of the Screaming Eagles Complex.
Assist in setting up and taking down of athletic equipment. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored or secured correctly.
Assist with monitoring or supervision and inventory control of the Athletics weight room.
Assist with game management and game day preparations.
Oversee laundry area and operate laundry equipment including laundering and issuing uniforms and towels.
Maintain inventory of athletic equipment and supplies.
Daily monitoring of all areas of the Screaming Eagles Complex.
Daily monitoring of all areas of the Screaming Eagles Arena.
Assist with minor cleaning and maintenance of the Screaming Eagles Complex and Arena.
Assist with various internal and external events in the Screaming Eagles Complex and Screaming Eagles Arena
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s degree.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of computers, internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
