| Position Summary |
To provide assistance to the barn manager and facility manager with supervision of feeding of horses, hay production, cleaning of stalls, general upkeep of facility, fencing, veterinary care, equipment management and arena dragging at the equestrian facility.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
Experience working with equine; ability to do heavy manual labor work; ability to understand written and verbal instructions; ensure compliance with NCAA, SEC and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the sport of Equestrian.

| Physical Demands |
Lifting 50 lbs or more; stooping, squatting; working in inclement weather. Housing on site. Driving as needed to perform job duties.

General upkeep of the Equestrian facility, i.e. maintenance of structures, arenas, equipment, fencing, plumbing, & overall clean & well-maintained facility aesthetic.

Grounds – mowing, weeding, trimming, spraying of landscaping & fence lines, painting & repairs. Grooming of arenas & hot walker (watering & dragging).

Assist with daily horse care – feeding of horses (hay / grain / water), rotation from field to barn, transportation of horses to Veterinary Teaching Hospital, minor medical treatments.
