The Athletic Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all functions of the athletic department under the direction of the Athletic Director. Serves as the athletic department liaison between the Athletic Department and the University business department. Supervision of student employees and graduate assistants. Organization of team travel, oversight of business office operations for the athletic department and management of athletic facilities schedule. Position will require nights and weekends at various times of the year.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with oversight of the finance and business activities of the Athletic Department including accounting, purchasing, finance, reporting and travel.
Prepare monthly financial reports for the athletic department including revenue and expense.
Assist coaches with annual budget preparation, expense reporting, credit card expenditures, etc.
Review purchase requisitions, travel expense vouchers, and procurement card charges for assigned sports and operational areas.
Review purchasing in accordance with approved budget guidelines and purchasing procedures.
Serve as the on-site administrator for home athletic events when needed.
Assist with all aspects related to supervision, hiring and evaluations of all student employees and graduate assistants for the athletic department.
Be directly involved with sport-specific fundraising initiatives and fund development in accordance with the College’s and Athletic Department goals for the program. Including supporting the annual athletic department fundraiser.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with evidence of increasing levels of responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree in sports management or related field required from four-year College, university, or Master’s program.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills including verbal and written.
Experience with strategic business planning and budgeting.
