Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in strength and conditioning training with collegiate or professional athletes. Certification as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC). CPR and First Aid Certification. Grade 5 (Salary).
Position Description:
The Athletic Performance Coach I (Performance Coach) works closely with the entire Olympic Sports Performance team, spending significant time on the training floor developing Cardinal student-athletes, and sustaining our championship culture. The Performance Coach effectively and professionally implement our training philosophy, protocols, and methodologies with three (3) – four (4) programs, while also serving as a teacher and mentor within our mentorship program. They engage in sport-specific projects and play a critical role in the day-to-day operation of the Marshall Center facility.
Job Responsibilities:
Implementation of programming, testing, and evaluation for assorted Olympic sports, under the supervision of the Assistant Director and senior performance staff.
Manage execution of facility and equipment maintenance via daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
Contribute as a member of one (1) – two (2) content-specific teams (within Team of Teams model).
Perform other projects and duties as assigned by Assistant Director/Director.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field.
Three (3) years of experience in strength and conditioning training with collegiate or professional athletes.
Experience with Catapult GPS, Force Plates, GymAware, and 1080 Sprint technologies.
USAW certification.
