This position provides support to the assigned athletic/recreational area. Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to planning; leading classes/activities; maintaining equipment and/or recreational areas; supervising assigned activity participants and/or personnel; maintaining inventory; assisting with conducting special events; and completing related clerical tasks.

DUTIES : Plans, organizes, and leads various indoor and outdoor recreational activities, assists with special events; and works rentals. Monitors patrons to ensure compliance with departmental rules and regulations. Maintains attendance and activity reports; prepares periodic and special reports; inspects recreation facilities and equipment; recommends maintenance and repair work as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS : High school diploma (or GED) with at least three months experience in the assigned area; or any equivalent combination of education, training, or any experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.

SALARY: Pay Grade 10; $13.00/hr.; plus sick and vacation time

WORK HOURS: 14 hours per week (40 hours per week during the months of June and July) Weekend work required.
