Athletic Technician Assistant, Track - ½ Time

BYU Grounds takes care of and beautifies all of BYU Campus and surrounding areas. We maintain lawns, flower beds, campus sidewalks/pavers, trees/shrubs/plants, sports fields, greenhouses, and even recycling. Working for BYU Grounds provides a great opportunity to be in the beautiful outdoors working alongside wonderful people!

About the position:

• Work with a team to maintain and beautify the Robison Track Complex, Helaman Field, and Riviera Apartments
• Work with field managers to learn proper field care techniques and turf management.
• Duties include: mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, sprinkler care, raking leaves, and other general maintenance tasks.
• Be available for evenings and weekends during track season to work BYU and high school track meets.
• Be on call to work on snow removal areas during the winter.

Qualifications:

• Be physically able to perform the essential functions listed above to maintain BYU Grounds, providing a safe and inspirational environment.
• Responsible and dependable, willing to work independently and with a team in a professional manner with the campus community.

Employee Class: 1/2 Time (17.5 hour)

Work Location: Provo Campus

Environment: Frequent exposure to unfavorable conditions such as all-weather, or working in cramped, very dirty, or unpleasant quarters
