This position receives general supervision. Broad instructions are provided and the staff member uses judgment and experience to carry out assignments. Completed assignments and finished products are reviewed by the supervisor after completion.

Judgment and discretion as to the use of established policies are required to perform the essential duties of this position.

Various modalities,
rehabilitative equipment and whirlpools
ImPACT Concussion Management Program
Budgetary Responsibility:None.
Personal Interaction/Communication:
Student Contact: Daily; working with student-athletes
Internal: Frequent; working with coaches and administrators
External: Frequent; contacting physicians and parents of student-athletes and the University Health Services
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related fieldMaster’s degree preferred
Experience:
3 years experience in an Athletic Training setting
Licenses/Certifications:
Confidential Information:
Medical reports, physician’s reports, student records
Working Environment:
Work is performed in office setting and within athletic facilities.
(Approximately 60 hours per week, Fall, Winter, Spring)
Travel is required to athletic contests and accompanying athletes to visits with physicians.
Practice coverage includes late afternoons and evenings.
Game coverage includes nights and weekends.
Exposure to bodily fluids.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time,
Must be able to walk for extended periods of time,
Must be able to climb (many stairs, ladders),
Must be able to crawl and or kneel,
Must be able to push and/or pull objects,
Must be able to use feet for repetitive tasks,
Must be able to use hands for repetitive tasks,
Must be able to lift between 21-50 pounds (Medium work),
Must be able to carry between 21-50 pounds (Medium work)
