Apply NowPeru State has a staff of four full-time and one part-time athletic trainers.

sponsors 13 sports with approximately 400 athletes. We have two full service athletic training facilities on-campus, with a third opening in the fall of 2024. The College is currently investing $20 million dollars in new recreational and athletic facilities. This is a 12-month position. Sport assignment will be based on department need and discussed during interview, likely to be men’s/women’s basketball for one position and baseball/softball for the second position
This position will provide preventative care, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Assist with the daily operation of the athletic training facility, including assisting with inventory, budget, and purchasing. Coverage of scheduled practices and games with post-season travel. Communication with coaches for assigned teams. Appropriate documentation of injuries, rehabilitation and doctor visits. Supervise intern athletic training students and student workers if necessary. Other duties as assigned by the head athletic trainer.

Certified Athletic Trainer; Nebraska licensure for athletic training or eligible to apply.
Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field, master’s preferred. Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics at Peru State College preferred. Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively with campus community.
Certified by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer. Licensed by the State of Nebraska.

$57,061.00 Excellent benefits package. NATA dues, State licensure and continuing education funds are provided.
