Anderson University is selective, comprehensive Christian liberal arts university whose 500 student-athletes compete on 19 athletic teams at the NCAA Division II level, within the South Athletic Conference. The University seeks candidates with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.
Reporting to the Director of Sports Medicine, the staff athletic trainer plays an important role as a member of the sports medicine staff. The primary responsibility of this position is to work with two other athletic trainers to coordinate the overall healthcare of football student-athletes, with the additional responsibility of providing athletic healthcare for one spring sport.
Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program; Master’s degree preferred. Current BOC certification is required, along with SC state athletic training certification (or eligible). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work well within a team, and good organizational skills are essential.
