Syracuse University Competitive Club Sports seeks an outstanding athletic trainer to join an integrated team focusing on Club Sports student-athletes and teams. The Competitive Club Sports Athletic Training Staff provides quality comprehensive care for all student-athletes through prevention, evaluation, care and treatment of injuries and illnesses. Assists with injury rehabilitation and referral of student-athletes to physicians when appropriate. Maintains injury and treatment documentation for Syracuse University medical staff.
Competitive Club Sport Athletic Trainers serve as certified athletic trainers for practice and home game coverage and communicate on various issues including, but not limited to: Sports Medicine and Club Sports Athletic Training policies and procedures, student-athlete status, restrictions, treatment/rehabilitation, appointment compliance and overall progress.
Bachelor’s degree in health related field (Master’s preferred)
Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association
Registered athletic trainer in the State of New York
1-3 plus years of work experience at a Division One institution (Preferred)
CPR
Certified
Training in Bloodborne pathogens
Certified in Functional Movement Screening (Preferred)
Soft Tissue Mobilization certification (Preferred)

Serve as a certified athletic trainer for competitive club sports student-athletes and teams.
Provide quality comprehensive care for student-athletes through prevention, evaluation, care and treatment of injuries and illnesses with assist with injury rehabilitation.
Provide coverage for practices and competitions.
Assist with concussion testing and return to play protocols.
Assist with operation of clinic, appointment and walk-in hours.
Compile and maintain injury and treatment documentation including injury tracking and reporting.
Assist with electronic medical records.
