Our Mission
The mission of the Oregon Tech Athletic Department is to facilitate growth and development of its student-athletes by providing a broad-based athletic program that creates educational opportunities through the medium of competition at the collegiate level. The department also provides personal health and fitness opportunities to the campus community through its Tech-Fit facilities.

The athletic trainer aide is a part-time, 10-month, hourly position. The primary objective of this position is to provide care to student-athletes in their respective sports, in consultation with the Head Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, taping, administering ice baths, operating a stem machine, and performing other duties as assigned. | | Minimum Requirements | | | Additional Requirements |
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or the equivalent of 2 years of experience working in an Athletic Training Room. - Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications by the first date of employment - Current, valid driver’s license by the first date of employment - Ability to effectively and respectfully work, communicate, and collaborate in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings - Ability to work effectively in high-traffic and frequent interruption environment; including the ability to adapt to changing priorities in an effective and efficient manner - Commitment to a diverse and inclusive population of student-athletes. | | Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or Exercise Sport Science with an option in Athletic Training. Previous Certified Athletic Trainer experience a plus. - NATA-BOC Certification certified at the time of hire - Eligible for registration for the state of Oregon OR be licensed with Oregon Health Licensing Office by the first date of employment - Master’s degree in Athletic Training - Bi-lingual |
