. Will take appropriate and necessary measures for the care and prevention of athletic injuries. Provide emergency medical care for all athletes. Supervision of student Athletic Trainers in both the clinical and educational areas in coordination with the Head Athletic Trainer and curriculum director. Work in association with the Head Athletic Trainer regarding development, implementation, and revision of all Athletic Training policies; Act as the coordinator for one or more of the following: the drug testing, eating concerns, and budget/inventory management; Work in conjunction with the Head Athletic Trainer and physicians concerning standing orders for athlete injury management.
Master's
3-5 years

Certification by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association.
Three to five years Athletic Training experience at the Collegiate Level with a Master’s degree in a related field.
License as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the State of New Hampshire.
CPR
/
AED
certification for professional rescuers and health care providers.
Demonstrated experience supervising student Athletic Trainers
Head Athletic Training experience.

Job Duties
| Duty/Responsibility |
Assists in administering the day to day operation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all aspects of UNH Intercollegiate Division I Athletic Training program. Reports to the Head Athletic Trainer.

| Duty/Responsibility |
Supervision of specific designated teams, including practice, home and away games, and other athletic teams generally. Primarily responsible for travel, practice and competition of teams as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer, assist other athletic training staff in providing care to varsity athletes/teams.

Perform all daily duties as an Athletic Trainer which includes: a. Taping bandaging and or bracing designed to prevent or protect athletes for injury or re-injury.
b. provide emergency treatment for intercollegiate athletes
c. coverage of pre-determined intercollegiate teams, including practice and travel with those teams.
d. Administer therapeutic techniques and modalities, including to but not limited to, ultra-sound, electrostimulation, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, as well as manual rehabilitation exercises within the context of the treatment protocol.
e. Perform preliminary injury evaluations and refer individuals to physicians as appropriate.
f. Work in conjunction with the physicians in determining the extent of injury and a safe return to competition of the athlete.
g. Work in conjunction with the strength and conditioning staff regarding limitations, conditioning, strength and rehabilitation programs
h. Work in conjunction with nutritionist, health education, UNH counseling, for appropriate referral

Administration of one or more of the following as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer; Supply inventory, control and ordering.
Insurance form completion, tracking and follow-up (or other insurance related matters. Administration of pre-season physicals, forms and pre-season team lectures.Eating Concerns,Drug testing, Website/ update forms, Summer camp scheduling, and
Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for all medical documentation of student athlete injury and illness. Maintain confidentiality of those records

Responsible for maintaining NATA certification and New Hampshire State licensure by completing the necessary continuing education units (CEU’s). Responsible for completing the necessary requirements to retain CPR/AED and first aid certifications.
