In this role you will be responsible for: Athletic Trainer provides primary support to the attending PM&R Sports, Spine and Musculoskeletal program physician during outpatient clinic hours. . Clinic roles include patient pre-screening with history taking and appropriate examination techniques, documenting meaningful use data, and overall management of the patient activities.. Administrative duties include follow-up communications with patients, insurance authorization, patient scheduling including the facilitation of referrals generated from all contracted education institutions.. Other complimentary roles the certified athletic trainer provides are therapeutic care to individuals suffering injuries as a result of active lifestyle by utilizing modalities and therapeutic exercise upon referral to relieve pain, prevent disability, develop and improve skills and restore function. This position generally requires providing service to adolescent, adult and older adult age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
