The Sports Medicine unit is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the health, safety, and welfare of Cornell student-athletes by providing a safe environment and the best possible and most expedient healthcare utilizing the 6 domains of athletic training as established by the NATA: prevention; recognition, evaluation, and assessment; immediate care; treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning; organization and administration; and professional development and responsibility.

The Athletic Trainer in the Cornell University Sports Medicine department evaluates, treats, coordinates and carries out the prescribed physical rehabilitation of athletes. The position is responsible for the compilation and maintenance of medical and statistical records, in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations. As a crucial member of the department, this role requires a consistent need to study, evaluate and recommend new techniques and equipment in physical rehabilitation/training and therapy. The athletic trainer also assists in the daily management and operation of the athletic training room, provides sports coverage as assigned, and supervises athletic training students.

This is an 11-months per year, full-time position. Starting salary range is $63,368 to $66,530 for this position; final offer will depend on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
