Saint Mary’s College is seeking an On-Call Athletic Trainer to provide support to our Athletics department. The On-Call Athletic Trainer will provide coverage for athletic events, practices, and competitions on an as-needed basis. This role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to promoting the health and safety of athletes.

Job Description

The On-Call Athletic Trainer will provide coverage for athletic events, practices, and scheduled competitions, and they will assess and evaluate injuries to determine appropriate care and treatment plans. This on-call position will administer first aid and emergency medical care as needed.

The On-Call Athletic Trainer will collaborate with coaches, athletes, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, and maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in athletic training or a closely allied discipline.

  • Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana.
• Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
• Current Member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with a diverse student population.
• Planning, communication, organization, implementation, and critical thinking skills.
• Computer skills, including the ability to use Excel and other software related to file

management.

• EMR experience and usage.

Schedule

On Call/ Hours Vary/ Some nights and weekends
