The Athletic Trainer Senior Associate will work in conjunction with the Executive Director for Sports Medicine and Performance to collaborate in designing and implementing athletic training protocols for our student-athletes. This position will serve as a liaison to our athletes in identifying and working with our campus partners in identifying campus resources for our athletes. The Athletic Trainer Senior Associate will oversee electronic medical records (EMR Software) ensuring accurate and confidential medical records while also managing physician scheduling, referrals, appointments and coordinating with athletic insurance coordinator for billing and insurance updates. This role provides crucial assessment in injury assessments, managing treatment and rehabilitation plans while implementing continuous best practices for our student-athletes. The primary sport assignment will be UK Women’s Basketball. This position requires attendance of every Women’s Basketball practice and team travel. Must comply with NCAA, SEC& University rules and regulations.
Must be Board of Certification (BOC) certified and eligible for KY State Licensure within 90 days.
