The Athletic Training Director is responsible for all aspects of the athletic training services at the University. The position will entail supervising staff, coordinating the delivery of healthcare to more than 600

student-athletes, ensuring appropriate documentation, managing budgets, maintenance and oversite of the athletic training center and serving as an athletic trainer for athletic team(s) within their traditional/non-traditional seasons and out-of-season, including morning rehabilitation clinic. The Athletic Training Director will be expected to coordinate all aspects of care with the UW-La Crosse team physician and other professionals within and outside their department.

• Substantial years of experience working as a certified athletic trainer;
• Experience leading and managing an athletic training staff comprised of other professionals and/or students;
• Experience with administrative tasks associated with the provision of athletic training services (e.g., inventorying and ordering, budgeting, etc.);
• Experience providing athletic training services to collegiate or professional teams.
• Previous experience serving as a preceptor for an Athletic Training Education Program
• Understanding of, and commitment to, the
